Potter & Company, LLP’s origin dates back to the time when William A. Hifner, Jr., opened an office in Lexington in 1918. Today, with offices in both Lexington and Louisville, the Firm has achieved a size and capability that allows us to service the needs of entrepreneurial companies, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental units, of all sizes and types.

From multi-million dollar corporations with domestic and international subsidiaries, to local not-for-profits and governmental entities, our depth of experience in auditing and attest services is substantial. Potter & Company, LLP is a member of the AICPA Division for CPA Firms, the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, Governmental Audit Quality Center, and the Center for Audit Quality. We are also members of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. Requirements of membership include that all professionals participate in at least eighty hours of continuing education every two years in topics related to accounting and auditing. Individual firm members are also affiliated with professional organizations including the AICPA and the KSCPA. Our personnel are thus able to provide the most up-to-date services available.
