R. O'Bryan, CPA | Managing Partner 
David is currently Managing Partner. His main areas of expertise are management
advisory and tax consultation services. David is a former President of
the Kentucky Society of CPAs and recently completed a three-year term
as a council member of the AICPA. He also serves on the Investment Committee
of Hospice of the Bluegrass, the Board of Directors and Finance Committee
of St. Catharine College, the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Conference
for Community and Justice and as Treasurer of the Fayette Education Foundation.
David is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Joe Ackerman, CPA | Partner-in-Charge/Louisville
Office 
Joe is currently Partner-in-Charge of the Louisville office. Prior to
assuming that position he served as the functional coordinator of the
Firm's accounting and audit services. His main areas of expertise are
accounting and audit, tax, and management advisory services. He is active
in his church and community, primarily through leadership in youth sports.
He is currently the treasurer of the Greater Louisville Sports Commission
and also sits on the Supervisory Committee of Park Community Federal Credit
Union. Joe is a graduate of Bellarmine University and was named their
2004 Accounting Alumnus of the Year.
W. Thomas Cooper, CPA/ABV | Partner 
Tom's main areas of expertise are individual and business taxation, mergers
and acquisitions, valuation of business, litigation support, and management
advisory services. Tom is a former President of the Kentucky Society of
CPAs, and is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award -the highest
honor given by the Society. Tom served on the Board of Directors of the
AICPA - becoming the first Kentuckian elected in over 30 years - and recently
served as President of their Benevolent Fund. Tom is a graduate of the
University of Louisville.
Gregory C. Mullins, CPA | Partner-in-Charge/Lexington Office 
Greg is currently Partner-in-Charge of the Lexington office. Prior to
assuming that position he served as the partner-in-charge of the Lexington
office audit practice. His main areas of expertise are consultation and
audit services for tax-exempt organizations, private colleges and schools,
public schools, cooperative associations and governmental entities. Greg
has also served on the Public Relations Committee of the Kentucky Society
of CPAs, and the Automation and Technology Committee for Moore Stephens
North America. He graduated from the University of Kentucky.
Jim Noe, CPA | Partner 
Jim has been with the Firm since 1990. His main areas of expertise are
tax, compilations, reviews, audits of financial statements, and general
financial consultation. Jim has served on the Board of Directors of the
Kentucky Society of CPAs and is a past president of the Louisville Chapter.
Jim is a graduate of Georgetown College.
Helen Cohen, CPA/ABV, CVA | Partner 
Helen has been with the Firm since 1990. Her main areas of expertise are
valuation litigation support, forensic accounting, small business tax
issues, consulting, and estate planning. She has been appointed by Jefferson
County Family and Circuit Court and is qualified as an expert in Oldham,
Bullitt, McCracken and Pulaski counties. Helen serves on the Finance Committee
of the Metro United Way, the Board of the Friends of the Louisville Deaf
Oral School, the Board of Crusade for Children, Class of 2003 Leadership
Louisville and is a past Chair of the State and Local Tax Committee of
the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Helen is a graduate of the University of
Louisville, with a MBA from Bellarmine University.
R. Allen Norvell, CPA | Partner 
Allen has been with the Firm since 1992 and serves as the firm's functional
coordinator for accounting and audit services and as the partner-in-charge
of the Lexington office audit practice. He also serves as chairman of
the firm's Governmental and Not-for-Profit Services Group. His main areas
of expertise are traditional audit, accounting and reporting services,
management consulting, litigation support, and arbitrage calculations
for tax-exempt bond issues. Allen has served on several committees of
the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Allen serves as Chairman of Community Health
Charities of Kentucky, Inc., on the Board of the Lexington-Fayette Urban
County Government Public Library Corporation and on the Board of the Lexington
Forum, Inc. Allen is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, with a
MBA from the University of Louisville.
Marcia Lewis, CAP/PFS, CFP | Partner 
Marcia has been with the Firm since 1992. Her main areas of expertise
are individual, business and not for profit income taxation, and financial
planning, particularly estate and retirement planning. Marcia currently
serves on the board and on committees of various charitable organizations
including the Healing Place and the Norton Psychiatric Center Council.
Marcia has served as the chair of the financial planning committee of
the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Marcia is a graduate of the University of
Illinois at Chicago.
Tom Johnston, CPA | Partner 
Tom co-founded Johnston & Associates, P.S.C. in 1970 which combined with
Potter & Company, LLP in August of 2006. His main areas of expertise
are individual and business income taxation and small consulting.
Tom is a member of the AICPA and the Kentucky Society of CPAs. Tom is
a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Paul Johnston, CPA, CVA | Partner 
Paul was also a partner with Johnston & Associates, P.S.C. prior to joining
Potter & Company, LLP. His main areas of expertise are individual
and business income taxation, business valuation, and small consulting.
Paul is a member of the AICPA, the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Paul is a graduate of the
University of Kentucky.
Greg Jackson, CPA | Partner 
Greg graduated from Bellarmine University with a Bachelor of Science in
Accounting. His main area of expertise is audit and assurance services.
He has twenty years of public accounting experience and two years in industry
which includes internal auditing for a Fortune 500 company and as the
Capital and Planning Manager for the Louisville Regional Airport Authority.
Greg is a member of various professional organizations including the AICPA,
the Kentucky Society of CPAs, and the Association of Airport Internal
Auditors (AAIA).
Richard Shields CPA, CFE | Partner 
Rick graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science
in Accounting. He has ten years experience in public accounting and three
years experience in private industry. His main area of expertise is audit
and assurance services. Rick is a member of the AICPA, the Kentucky Society
of CPAs, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA),
the Association of certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Association
of Airport Internal Auditors (AAIA).
